Returning an athlete to sports as early as possible and in the safest possible manner to avoid recurrence is my aim as a Sports Physician. Injuries limit performance and keep the player away from playing his favorite sport. Moreover, every sport has some injuries which commonly occur during it and research suggests that many of these injuries like ankle sprains, ACL tears are preventable. I highly recommend that every athlete incorporates preventive exercises into their routine training because prevention of the injury is definitely better than losing time from the game. An injury not only disheartens an athlete physically but also psychologically.
